Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Nguyen actually got his start in oral healthcare as a dental assistant! He really enjoyed the work he was doing each day in that position and decided soon enough that he had the skills and passion needed to become a dentist in his own right. All these years later, and he still feels very confident that he made the right choice.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

After attending Texas A&M for his undergraduate degree, Dr. Nguyen achieved his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Dentistry, where he was trained by an amazing faculty. He has also undergone specialty training in Advanced Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Nguyen currently lives with his daughter Addyson and his son Marshall. In his spare time, he enjoys swimming, baseball, and keeping up with his kids’ respective Girl Scout and Cub Scout troops. He is also a BIG foodie and is always looking for the next delicious meal. In fact, he is a passionate traveler because of the amazing foods he can encounter! Sushi in Vancouver is the best he’s ever had, and other special meals include anchovies and jamun in Barcelona, Shanghai dumplings and bacon steaks in Seattle, and Pho and crawfish right here in Houston.
